Fashion Design in COmics

Taught thru CCA

Course Description:

Develop looks (street clothes & costumes) that match your character's personality.

Learning Objectives:

Fashion is communication. Costumes can be as loud as a bomb or as quiet as a mouse, and an outfit can speak volumes. What does my look say about me? Can I be a farmer in these clothes? Am I running late for some hideous skirt convention? We’ll start with a short description of our characters and the worlds they live in, and then sketch out a series of silhouettes with no interior details. From there we’ll move on to the finer points like structure, color, and other design elements! How complex do we want our character’s costume to be? Details can be enriching yet time-consuming, while simplicity can be boring or iconic. I’ll see you on the cartoon catwalk, leave your kitten heels at home!
